British Riding Club Hat Rules 2019

Protective headwear must be worn at all times by anyone, whether or not a Competitor, riding anywhere at any BRC event.
Harnesses must be correctly adjusted and fastened at all times.

At all BRC Championships and Qualifiers, protective headwear must have been checked by an official to make sure that it is labelled with one of the accepted standards and then marked with a visible BRC aqua hat tag. Failure to do so will incur elimination.  Due to a change in the accepted standards for this year, BRC orange hat tags will no longer be accepted. Please visit the BRC website for further information.

The BRC 2018 Rulebook is available to download from the BRC website. Hard copies can be purchased from the BHS Bookshop.

For anybody attending any RC event, including rallies, clinics and fun rides, approved hats (see below) are required.  If competing for the club, they need to be tagged with the current tag. If riding at championships, you should take your hat, passport and horse to the Flu Vac area before going anywhere else.  And good luck!
